Yahoo Hacked and How to Protect Your Passwords

Yahoo recently confirmed that a variety of users emails have been compromised. Yahoo believes that a third party database, with shared credentials, was the likely source of the compromised email user accounts. This continues to be a trend of bad security and a multitude of issues for Yahoo as was seen in 2013. It is advised for any Yahoo email user to take precautions to secure your email account. Yahoo has been resetting the credentials of affected users by email and SMS if your mobile contact information is on file.

New Domain Names are in the works. Would your business benefit?

Several hundred new domain name extensions are being made. If your domain is too long, you might want to think about reserving your business name and city or your business name and industry. Some domain names might get acquired faster than others. The .com extension is still the dominant domain.

3 IT Lessons from Entrepreneurs

When it comes to motivating people, it’s not all about the money. For most people, the most effective motivation is each individual’s desire to achieve their goals. Many look forward to working on a challenging project for a successful outcome. Effective communicate is also important for achieving your goals. When describing something to a co-worker, lead, or client, it is always a good idea to have the person repeat what you’ve said back to you.

Encouraging Brand Advocacy

Marketers today are asking how they can create more customer advocacy instead of how they can get more customers. A brand advocate is a customer who will spread the word about your company. Some components of an efficient customer engagement system might include: social intelligence, social engagement, marketing automation, Omni-channel engagement, and knowledge management.
